There is much more information other that what is already above. Something I have to add about become a career fireman is that you need to prep yourself. You must prepare for any type of exam or test that a fire department or agency can come up with. You never know when a civil service test is up or a fire/ems test will hit you. You best bet is to study with the help of Fire Fire Exams and/or EMT National Training. The staff of these two training guides have over 50 years experience to help you prepare for the best decision of your fire, becoming a firefighter.
